Welcome to the website for Girlguiding Guildford. Girlguiding Guildford is vibrant and fun for all ages, from our smallest Rainbow Guide to our oldest Trefoil Guild member, there is something for everyone. We are part of the UK's largest voluntary organisation for women, in turn part of an international organisation with over 10 MILLION members worldwide.
 
Without Leaders we would not be able to offer all the wonderful opportunities we do for girls of all ages. Leaders are unpaid, trained volunteers who give their free time to run units.

Coming to Guildford as a Student?
 
Girlguiding Guildford welcomes student volunteers who are coming to study at the University of Surrey. Whether you have been involved in Guiding before or are looking for a new opportunity, here for the first time or coming back for your second year, we will be pleased to hear from you.
 
A note from the Division Comissioner about joining lists.
 
I am aware that due to shortage of leaders joining lists in some parts of Guildford Division are extremely long and your daughter has to wait longer that is desirable to join. Please do not be put off but be flexible and prepared to consider another unit. All units are run by qualified leaders or leaders in training and follow the same programme for their section. In other parts of the Division joining lists are not so long.  There are places for every Brownie and Guide currently waiting but this may not be at your first choice.  If you find yourself in this position then please contact the Division Commissioner at Divcom@girlguidingguildford.org.uk

Regrettably I cannot offer such a solution if you have a younger child waiting to join Rainbows.  All units are saturated and the only way out is for you to join too! if you are up for a challenge, fun and friendship then please get in touch with me.

Where Are We?

Girlguiding Guildford Division is made up of 4 Districts-
 
Guildford Town East, covering Horsley, Merrow, and East Guildford.
 
Guildford Town West, covering Guildford Town Centre, Onslow Village, and Portsmouth Road.
 
Hogs Back, covering Normandy, Wood Street Village, Stoughton, Westborough, Rydes Hill, Park Barn and Bellfields.
 
Worplesdon, covering Ripley, Worplesdon, Jacobs Well, and Burpham.  
 
Girlguiding Guildford Division is one of 11 divisions in Surrey West county.  Surrey West is one of 19 Counties in the London & South East England Region (LASER)
